There’s not much that comes close to the absolute honour of shooting (and attending) your friends’ wedding.
I’ve known Ida since high school – I’ve known her since the very first day when her love-story with Michele, started. These two epitomise adventure and romance, in a relationship – forever courting each other, prioritising each other, encouraging other and loving each other.
Their wedding ceremony was set beneath a canopy of trees, next to the beach, in the beautiful area of Zinkwazi. The skies opened up and the wind died down to make room for a peaceful and perfect day. Their guests were able to enjoy their canapés on the beach – shoes off, sand between their toes and drink, in-hand.
We took their sunset newlyweds’ session to the beautiful sugarcane fields where the colours in the sky absolutely blew our minds! The moon also popped out to say hello, as we were getting ready to leave.
The reception was a festive one with the bride and groom opting to do the traditional confetti and garter toss in a slightly different way! (Look at the paper bag photos, to see what I mean! ;))
